The importance to choose a good oil painting brushes: Good painting start from good brushes

Hog bristle: The ultimate hard brush is made

split-ends, which increase the amount of paint they hold. Used for oils and
acrylics.
§ Taklon: For acrylics and oils Taklon can be fantastic and a good alternative to pure natural hair. And taklon are more durable than natural hair. But normally taklon is too soft, so to ensure the same resilience and hardness with bristle we need to choose the 0.1-0.15mm taklon.

Sable: The ultimate soft brush is made from the
hairs on the tail of a sable marten; these taper naturally, so when they're put
into a brush they form a point. Sable brushes are expensive, but are renowned
for their softness, flexibility, and fine point. It normally using for
drawing the details.
