In usual, you should care palette to increase of palette service life.
For example 1. A plastic palette is suited for painting acrylic and watercolor, don't paint oil color paint on the plastic palette. When you clean, the plastic palette is hard to clean clearly. And if you use painting knife to clean the plastic palette, it maybe will hurt the palette surface. 2. After oil painting, you use painting knife to clean oil paint on the wooden palette. Remember to use tissues to wipe palette surface to avoid your clothes or other things touch color.
